To help promote our bag, we will have a photo contest of people using the totebags, the prize for which will be a $10 gift certificate to Santa Barbara Ice Cream, with the intention of keeping up a relationship with the business. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday Oct. 6th.

Diana- Reports a balance of $919.95. This amount does not include what has been subtracted in order to pay the fees charged by the Gallagher Theater and the screening rights for the movie for Banned Book Week. PLG is may still get a grant to pay for some if not all of these expenses.

Olivia- Please get in contact if anything needs to be changed on the PLG wiki, as Olivia is the webmaster.

Ramona has suggested many interesting community and event items over the last week, Kristen suggested that an Items of Interest Page be added to the PLG-UA wiki.

Kristen mentioned that the organization Literacy for Life Coalition needs volunteers to develop stories about students in their program, news articles and some pictures to put onto their website. She will put this information on the items of interest page, as well. Contact: Martha Gilliland MGilliland@cfsoaz.org

Yamilla noted that Applebee’s has a Dining to Donate in which 10% of sales go toward t a non-profit organization.  The program may be a possible fundraiser option for the PLG-UA.
